Facing the future
The neonsee team of passionate engineers has the ambition to simulate the characteristics of the sun as close as possible to the real world environment. We are constantly developing our unique solar simulation technology and increasing our product portfolio to meet the demanding requirements of our customers. Inspired by their challenging projects – driven by our core technologies and engineering expertise, we enable the testing and qualification of components under artificial sunlight in reproducible laboratory conditions. Together with our parent company SpaceTech GmbH and several other close partners we are able to provide you with a wide range of additional engineering services. Optical engineering, semiconductor physics, real time data analysis and process automation are all provided through one single interface.

NETWORK & PARTNERS
With research and engineering experts for the photovoltaic industry, space missions, life- and materials science inhouse, as well as at our collaboration partners, neonsee solutions cover a variety of applications and requirements. Working closely with both, industry and research institutions, we develop solutions to help further the knowledge of our customers. Together, through insightful instruments, we are enabling novel technologies and innovations.
SpaceTech GmbH (STI)
SpaceTech and neonsee links a long-term customer relationship – this being the starting point for a strong partnership. STI provides more than 15 years of flight heritage and great knowledge of the space industry. Beginning 2017 STI and neonsee combined their skills and developed a highly automatized process for the manufacturing of space solar generators. Being built at SpaceTech headquarters in Immenstaad, the new production facility went operational in 2020.
Carbospacetech GmbH (CST)
Besides neonsee, CST is the second of the two STI daughter companies. CST designs and manufactures outstanding carbon parts, with strong focus on the space industry. Their core competences are carbon fiber reinforced plastic fillament winding, honeycomb sandwich panels and the automated lay-down of substrates for space photovoltaic applications.
Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin CalTeC
The ISFH CalTeC is recognized by the german accreditation body as independent calibration and test laboratory and provides customers with the following accredited services: Calibrated solar cell current-voltage (IV) and spectral responsivity (SR) measurements in accordance to the IEC60904 standards. Testing of spectroradiometers with respect to the accuracy of the measurement of the spectral irradiance in accordance to CIE 63. Furthermore CalTec provides several non-accredited services for non-standardized tests and development accompanying investigations.
International Solar Energy Research Center Konstanz (ISC)
The place where neonsee was born: The independent non-profit organisation ISC Konstanz holds a leading position in silicon based solar cell technologies. Being party to a close collaboration with the international PV sector, ISC is involved in all aspects of wafer based silicon photovoltaic research and development. Process know-how at ISC ranges from advanced cell technologies up until its integration into novel module concepts.
k-tech Konstruktion Automation Produktion GmbH
For more than 30 years k-tech is constructing and building special purpose machinery for diverse fields. When it comes to building machines for use in highly automatized serial production, k-tech shows ample heritage in projects ranging from systems and assemblies for the semiconductor industry to biomedical engineering and according machinery. Main parts of the mechanical manufacturing and assembly of neonsee solar simulation technology are contracted to our close partner and enable the integration of our instruments in fully automated production environments.
CISWORKS
CISWORKS assists neonsee as a partner with extensive experience in the implementation of LabVIEW projects for various industries: automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering. At CISWORKS, you will find expertise in integration of different hardware, including various measurement cards, bus systems, FPGA and third party systems via CAN, RS232, GPIB, Ethernet, Profinet, and EtherCAT. Being used to software development compliant with the strict regulations of aviation standards, neonsee found its ideal long term partner for reliable test stand software and real time data analysis.
